Couple’s fight sees boyfriend striking girlfriend with a brick
A woman had to be rescued by her sister after her boyfriend attacked her during an argument. The man not only struck her with a brick but stabbed her in the face too.
Kagiso Police spokesperson Captain Solomon Sibiya said that many women are being murdered by their partners and many times it starts with a mere common assault or smacks.

“Despite numerous campaigns by different sectors of our society, to some men, it is just a baseless gimmick and wasted effort. Such men always see women as soft targets where they should direct their anger at or test their bashing skills and strength.”
This comment came after a woman was struck over the head with a brick and then stabbed during an argument with her boyfriend.
Sibiya explained the victim told police on Sunday, February 26 at around 16:00 she was at her home in Swaneville with her boyfriend when an argument broke out. She said her boyfriend was accusing her of cheating.

It was during this argument that the suspect picked up a brick and struck the victim who then fell to the ground. Her boyfriend then proceeded to stab her in the right side of her face with a sharp object. The victim’s sister arrived and managed to save her and she was rushed to hospital.
The matter was reported to the Kagiso Police and the suspect was eventually arrested. He was detained at the Kagiso police station where he was charged with assault grievous bodily harm.”
