Krugersdorp North man killed over R200
A man tried to get R200 from his grandmother and her husband and claimed without it he would be killed. The altercation then turned deadly.
The Krugersdorp Police arrested a 20-year-old man after he murdered someone for over R200.
Krugersdorp Police spokesperson Captain Raymond Sebonyane said police members were called out to an assault incident that happened in Kingdom Street, Krugersdorp North at about 16:00 on Sunday, March 19.

A woman living in the home told police she was at home with her husband and her grandson, who does not live with them.
The grandson demanded the amount of R200 so that he could give it to his friend who was standing outside the yard. The grandson mentioned that his friend was going to kill him if he does not give him the money.

“He started swearing at the complainant and her husband. He tried to hit the complainant and the husband stood up to intervene. The grandson hit the husband with a fist and he fell.”
After that, the man did not feel well and an oxygen machine was switched on because the woman’s husband could not breathe.
Captain Sebonyane added after that, paramedics were contacted but certified the man dead.
A murder case was opened at the Krugersdorp police station and the 20-year-old was arrested and detained while the investigation continues. The suspect will be appearing in the Krugersdorp Magistrate’s Court.
