Five arrested in Magalies drug bust

Police in Magaliesburg nabbed five men recently for dealing dagga and having crystal meth.

Five men aged between 22 and 37 were arrested at the Ga-Mogale informal settlement in Magaliesburg during the early hours of Tuesday, March 21.

Magaliesburg Police spokesperson Sergeant Kgomotso Mogware said a tip-off led police to various addresses around the informal settlement.

Two of the men were arrested for dealing with dagga while another three were nabbed for possession of drugs. These drugs consisted of crystal meth, dagga, and mandrax.

Magaliesburg Police Station Commander Lieutenant Colonel Vuma reassured that more will be done to tackle more drug-related crimes.

“Drugs harm individuals, families, and the community at large, the operation will continue to ensure that those who are dealing in drugs face the full might of the law.”

The arrested will appear in the Krugersdorp Magistrate’s Court soon.

Crystal Meth, Mandrax, and loose cash were found on the other three suspects.
