Young man sentenced in 2013 housebreaking, theft case
A man in his 20s was recently sentenced to seven years behind bars for housebreaking and theft in Wentworth Park 10 years ago.
Sibusiso Melaphi, a 25-year-old man from Snake Park in Soweto has been sentenced to six years imprisonment at the Kagiso Regional Court last week for housebreaking and theft.
According to Krugersdorp Police spokesperson Captain Raymond Sebonyane, the incident happened at Reserve Street in Wentworth Park on Sunday, January 6, 2013.

“The complainant left his house and all was in order. After a few minutes, he received a call from his cousin that there was a break in his house. He then went back and find out that the lounge window was broken. Playstation, DVD player, after-shave collections, and shoes were stolen. Police were contacted, and the case was opened and investigated by Krugersdorp detectives.”
Sibusiso’s male counterpart, Sandile Valentine Dlamini, 28, from Emdeni Soweto was already sentenced to seven years imprisonment, eight years ago.

Sebonyane added that Dlamini, 28, was arrested on October 29, 2015, through investigation and sentenced in December 2015.
Melaphi was arrested on June 2 last year.
The case was investigated by different officials before Detective Sergeant Tshepiso Mashele made sure that the state get a successful conviction.
Krugersdorp Police Station Commander Brigadier Happy Xaba applauded the members for a job well done following the sentencing.
