Mapogo responds to five incidents, most of them theft

Mapogo A Mathamaga Security in Mogale City responded to five serious incidents of crime in just five days at the end of April.

Mapogo A Mathamaga Security responded to five calls in the Krugersdorp area between April 25 and 30, most involving theft of some kind.

The first call was on April 25 at 07:39 and it was a call about a theft that took place in Carter Street, Delporton. The suspect entered the property by breaking through a precast wall and stole two outside alarm beams.

Then on April 26 at 23:30 they were called about a cable theft and assault at Vlakplaas in Tarlton. This time the suspects gained entry to the premises and assaulted a security guard.

“The suspects then went on to vandalise a mini substation and stole an unknown amount of copper cables.”

They responded to two incidents on April 27. The first happened at 07:57, again a theft incident at Vlakplaas in Tarlton. The suspects cut the electric fence to enter the premises. They stole one truck battery and eight solar panels.

The other incident happened at 08:34 and was a vehicle break-in and theft in Barrat Road in Factoria.

“Suspects gained entry into the premises by crawling under the electric fence.”

They then broke one of the vehicle’s windows and stole a car battery and spare wheel.

Lastly, on April 30 at 02:25 they responded to a break-in and theft in Rustenburg Road, Tarlton. The criminals entered by breaking through the precast perimeter wall and forcing open the front doors to the building. They then stole a microwave.
