Four arrested for housebreaking, theft in Magalies
A community tip-off allowed the police to arrest four men who had stolen property in their possession.
A tip-off from the community led to the arrest of four men for having stolen property taken during a housebreaking and theft incident in Magaliesburg.
Magaliesburg Police spokesperson Sergeant Kgomotso Mogwere said the men aged between 33 and 37 were arrested at the Ga-Mogale Location.
The police received the tip-off on Friday, May 5 and were given the address where the stolen property was being kept.
“The team comprised of members from Visible policing, detectives, and members from the support services and was immediately operationalised. The vigorous team pounced on the suspects at the same address.”
The stolen items found included electrical appliances, electronics, pots, bedding sheets, and other valuable items.

Mogwere said preliminary investigations linked the stolen property to two cases. One of housebreaking and another of theft. He added that investigations are ongoing.
Magaliesburg Police Station Commander Lieutenant Colonel Mawewe Vuma was pleased with the community for the major role they played in partnership with the police.
