Man shot and killed in Lewisham: Pub owner arrested
Police arrested a pub owner and are investigating a case of murder following the shooting and killing of Steven Theron.
Police confirmed that a man was shot and killed allegedly by the owner of a pub in Lewisham during the weekend.
According to Krugersdorp Police Station Commander Brigadier Happy Xaba, a murder investigation is underway.
”The pub owner has been arrested and will remain in custody until the investigation is concluded. According to eyewitnesses, the pub is infamous for violence occurring weekly.”
A video on social media has since been doing the rounds showing the deceased lying on the street shortly after being shot.
The deceased has since been identified by his family as Steven Theron.
According to another eyewitness who requested to remain anonymous, the shooting happened following a physical altercation between the owner and Theron that evening (February 15).
