Shots fired in Sterkfontein: Three arrested
Three men were arrested following a shooting in Sterkfontein over the weekend.
The police’s West Rand Flying Squad (WRFS) received a call of shots being fired in Sterkfontein over the weekend which led to the arrest of three suspects.

A spokesperson for the WRFS Karen du Plessis said there was an incident on Sunday, March 16, where three men were shooting at each other.
“One of them was hit in the right side of his chest. He was taken to hospital for further treatment but survived. He was, however, placed under arrest along with two other men. They were charged with attempted murder and discharging a firearm in an urban area,” she confirmed.
Du Plessis added that three firearms were also seized and one of them was not registered.
