No bail for cable thieves, say protesting Krugersdorp residents
Residents fear that if bail is granted for suspected cable thieves, they will steal again.
Frustrated residents are gathered outside the Krugersdorp Magistrate’s Court in the CBD this morning, August 4, protesting against the possible bail release of suspected cable thieves.
This comes after suspected cable thieves were arrested last week. The residents are demanding justice and stronger action to stop the ongoing cable theft in the community.
Community member Samatha Barale told the Krugersdorp News that they do not want bail to be granted, as the community fears they will do it again.
