The arrest comes following leads from a police operation on August 13, where intelligence-led officers recovered a 303-calibre hunting rifle with 20 rounds of ammunition at Botshabelo Hostel in Tukakgomo village, Limpopo.

Limpopo police spokesperson Lieutenant Colonel Masekela Magoro confirmed the suspect was linked to a stolen firearm case reported at Krugersdorp Police Station.
