Public Safety closes well-known hotel in CBD

The well-known Die Herberg Hotel was closed during a by-law enforcement operation today.

Die Herberg Hotel, a well-known establishment on the corner of Market and Commissioner Street, was shut down today, December 5, by Mogale City’s Public Safety during a by-law enforcement campaign led by Mayor Lucky Sele.

According to mayoral spokesperson Palesa Molefe, the closure took place at around 13:17 due to non-compliance.

“This follows the fire earlier this year. The hotel was not allowed to operate, even partially, due to safety concerns,” she confirmed.
