Burst pipe in the CBD attended to – municipality

A burst pipe has led to some water supply issues in the CBD with repair work well underway.

Mogale City Local Municipality (MCLM) has confirmed that repair work is well underway after a pipe burst at the corner of Human and Monument Street in the CBD on December 11.

MCLM’s Water Services Department said in a statement that this might affect water supply to residents and businesses, in particular, the central business district (CBD).

“As a result, the water supply to the CBD had to be isolated to allow for the necessary repair work to be done which regrettably affected the water supply. Although a team has been on site since the afternoon, the rain forced work to halt. Repair work can now commence as the rain has ceased but there is no exact time for completion of work. We apologise for the inconvenience.”
