Municipality’s system back online
The public can make use of the municipality's online services again following a recent system shutdown.
Mogale City Local Municipality (MCLM) confirmed that its IT system is running again.
MCLM informed members of the public on January 3 that the system was down.
This led to all telephones including their Customer Care line, emails, and account payment facilities being offline thus no transactions could be performed.
However, a dedicated team of technicians has been attending to the problem and MCLM spokesperson Adrian Amod confirmed on January 8 that residents can now access the municipality’s online services and make use of payment facilities.
“Our technicians are monitoring the system to ensure the solution is sustainable,” Adrian concluded.
