New telecommunications system and how it will affect residents

The municipality has changed its telecommunications service provider.

Mogale City Local Municipality (MCLM) wishes to inform residents and account holders of the current change in the telecommunications system from the old service provider.

According to a statement issued by MCLM, there will be some downtime on the telephone lines and members of the public may have some difficulty reaching some municipal telephone numbers, including the customer care number. Residents are encouraged to use the WhatsApp lines in the meantime on 083 787 2814 to report water and electricity issues they may be facing.

Account holders who wish to check their balance in their accounts can go to the MCLM website at www.mogalecity.gov.za and click the “View Statements” button.

For online registration, the municipality notes that if your account number is less than 15 digits, add zeros in front of your number to make a total of 15 digits. This is to ensure the system can find your account.
