Power outage to affect Rangeview residents

Residents of Rangeview can expect a power outage for at least two days.

Mogale City Local Municipality (MCLM) will be turning off electricity in Rangeview Ext 4 from June 26 to 28.

According to MCLM communication officer Refilwe Mahlangu, this will take place from 08:00 and 16:00 (over the mentioned days) to allow technicians to replace analogue electricity meters with smart meters.

“We request that residents grant technicians access to their properties to pair a customer interface unit with the meter, enabling consumers to monitor their consumption. If technicians cannot gain access to the property they will leave a note with a telephone number for the consumer to schedule an appointment. The affected streets will mainly be Simon Bekker, Witpeer, Milkwood and Percy Steward,” said Mahlangu.
