Certain prepaid water vendors disconnected

The municipality discontinued selected prepaid water vending outlets due to a police investigation.

Mogale City Local Municipality (MCLM) would like to inform residents that they have discontinued selected prepaid water vending outlets in Krugersdorp North, Noordheuwel, Rant-en-Dal and Featherbrooke until further notice.

According to MCLM communications officer Refilwe Mahlangu, this is due to an ongoing police investigation.

“Residents using tags to purchase prepaid water in these areas are advised to, in the interim, make their purchases from municipal offices on weekdays between 07:45 and 15:45 as well as on Saturdays between 08:00 and noon. This only affects residents that use a tag to purchase prepaid water,” Mahlangu said.

“We apologise to those affected for the inconvenience and appreciate their understanding,” Mahlangu concluded.
