Municipality warns of latest scam
A scam message is doing the rounds asking residents to pay their municipal accounts.
Mogale City Local Municipality (MCLM) warns residents of a scam doing the rounds when paying their municipal account.
MCLM communications officer Adrian Amod said residents should beware of this scam and ignore it.
The scam is passed on over social media, containing the following message:
“We are listing you as a defaulter to all bureaus, last chance before we begin with summons, Pay your municipal account. Call btfglobal 0105107010101059585.”
