Debt collectors coming for Mogale City residents who owe
Seven companies have been appointed by the municipality to recover money owed in unpaid property rates and taxes.
Mogale City Local Municipality (MCLM) has appointed seven debt collectors to help recover money owed in unpaid property rates and taxes.
MCLM communications officer Refilwe Mahlangu confirmed that Hahn Collection, Buthelezi Inc, Credit Intelligence Professional Debt Collectors, Saya Recoveries Pty, Madhlopa Thenga Inc Attorneys, Morkalio Revenue Solutions and Mojela Hlazo Attorneys Inc have been appointed under tender number: CORP (L) 01/2024-B to collect debt on the municipality’s behalf.

“To avoid falling victim to scammers, always request debt collectors to identify themselves over the phone or communicate via email. If you have any doubts, visit our offices to verify with municipal personnel,” Mahlangu warned.
She concluded residents should always remember to never make payments into personal accounts as all payments must be made directly into official municipal accounts.
