Utilities stakeholders urge community to unify their voices

Residents are invited by local associations to a meeting about key issues in town.

A meeting will be held on November 13 at 14:00 at the AFM Church, Noordheuwel, to create a collaborative forum for all ratepayers associations and business chambers in Mogale City.

The purpose of the meeting is to present a unified voice with critical mass in engaging with stakeholders such as Mogale City Local Municipality concerning public well-being issues like power, water, sanitation, air quality and biodiversity.

The meeting will be hosted by Danie Riekert from Krugersdorp Business and Policing Forum and Jacques van Schoor of Krugersdorp Citizens United.

“Attendees will include representatives from the Krugersdorp Chamber of Commerce, Roodekrans Neighbourhood Watch, the Delporton group of concerned business people, the Azaadville Ratepayers Association, the Tarlton Ratepayers Association, and Magaliesburg Ratepayers Association,” Van Schoor said.

“Everyone is invited to attend and contribute to the founding of the forum, and the first discussion of priority issues which will initially focus on power and sanitation only. The meeting is anticipated to last 90 minutes,” he concluded.
