Mogale residents to prepare for the possibility of no water
Water supply may be disrupted on Sunday due to maintenance on the pumping station.
Mogale City Local Municipality’s (MCLM) water services wishes to inform residents of City Power’s urgent maintenance work on its infrastructure supplying power to Rand Water’s Eikenhof Booster Pumping Station.
MCLM communications officer Refilwe Mahlangu says City Power will be working on its transmission links and transformers to ensure a stable and reliable supply to the booster pumping station which supplies Krugersdorp.
“As a result of this repair work scheduled for Sunday, November 17 from 8:00 to 16:00, where Eikenhof will temporarily lose pumping capacity and possibly affect the water supply to the town,” she stated.
“Residents are therefore encouraged to use water sparingly during this period to ensure that we have sufficient water available in our reservoirs to supply every household and business in the town,” Mahlangu encouraged.
