System glitch leads to municipal account delay

MCLM acknowledges and apologises for the delay of municipal statements due to a system glitch.

Mogale City Local Municipality’s (MCLM) Revenue Services wishes to express its sincerest apologies to account holders for the delay in issuing statements for the month of November, which was due to a system glitch that has since been resolved.

MCLM communications officer Refilwe Mahlangu said revenue services can confirm that accurately billed statements were issued on November 20.

She continued although payments made and received by the municipality between November 1 and 20, have been allocated on the financial system, some do not reflect on the latest statements due to the system posting cut-off date. These payments will therefore reflect on the next and future statements.

“We continue to appeal to all residents to ignore faceless messages and only heed communiques shared via Mogale City website, WhatsApp notices branded with our logo and other local media platforms,” she concluded.
