Low water pressure in Kagiso

Low reservoir and tower levels continue to affect the water supply in Kagiso.

With persistent hot temperatures and ongoing high water consumption remaining prevalent, water interruptions in parts of Kagiso (Wards 8, 9, 10 and 13) continue.

Mogale City Local Municipality (MCLM) communications officer Adrian Amod said water levels in the reservoir and water tower remain alarmingly low.

“While the Rand Water maintenance work has partly affected the supply of water which the municipality is addressing with our bulk water supplier, our Water Services also plead with residents and businesses that still have water supply to use water sparingly and allow the reservoir time to stabilise,” Amod urged the community.

He also informed the public that water tanker services have been allocated to affected areas.

“Furthermore, we urge residents in other parts of town to observe the level one water restrictions to ensure we retain sufficient water availability in our reservoirs for uninterrupted supply,” Amod concluded.
