Frustrated councillor launches anti-crime petition
A councillor invites residents to make their voices heard at a public petition event focused on safety and accountability.
Councillor Aletta van Loggerenberg expressed her frustration with ongoing crime and violence in the Rant-en-Dal and Krugersdorp North area, calling on residents to support and sign a petition taking a stand against it.
“We should not tolerate blatant disrespect for our safety – especially the most vulnerable,” she stated.
Van Loggerenberg will have a petition table to demand action from local law enforcement authorities and to advocate for streetlight maintenance, supporting the community.
She concluded that the petition table will be on Cecil Knight Street, in front of Dros, from 09:00 to 12:00 on Saturday, August 2.
