MCLM opens indigent registration for free basic services in Kagiso

Residents in Kagiso can apply for free basic services. Here's what documents you need and where to register.

Mogale City Local Municipality’s (MCLM) indigent management is conducting a ward-based registration until August 8 from 09:00 to 14:00.

MCLM communications officer Refilwe Mahlangu said this registration is for Wards 4, 5 and 36 in Kagiso to provide the community with free basic services.

This will be at Bambanani Centre, at the corner of Pilanesberg and Mount Frere Street in Kagiso Ext 12.

She added that residents will need the following registration documents:

• Proof of income, the latest three months’ bank statements, or if you’re unemployed, an affidavit to that effect
• SASSA confirmation letter (if you’re a recipient of social grants)
• Your certified copies of identity documents and those of your spouse and your dependents
• Latest municipal account and pre-paid electricity meter number
• Proof of your marital status (marriage certificate, divorce decree, proof of customary union, or a death certificate)

She concluded that additional documents may be requested when registering.
