Pensioners’ rebates delayed but will be credited soon, says municipality

Mogale City confirms system delay resolved, and affected pensioners will receive their full rebates in the next billing cycle.

Pensioners in Mogale City may have noticed that their July and August rebates were missing – but the municipality says the issue has now been resolved.

According to Mogale City Local Municipality’s (MCLM) communications officer Refilwe Mahlangu, the delay followed the annual property rates adjustments.

“We want to assure residents that the issue was identified and resolved. All approved beneficiaries will see their rebates for July and August credited in the next billing cycle,” she said.

Mahlangu added that MCLM assures residents that pensioners will receive the full benefit of their rebates.
