Rand Water’s planned valve replacements will leave several Mogale City areas without supply from January 6 to 8. Here’s the full list of affected suburbs.

Residents of several suburbs can expect an upcoming water shutdown due to maintenance.

According to Mogale City Local Municipality’s assistant manager for Media and PR, Refilwe Mahlangu, Rand Water will be replacing isolation valves on multiple pipelines connected to the Eikenhof supply system.

The shutdown will take place from January 6 to 8 and is expected to last around 54 hours, affecting the following areas:

• Leratong Hospital
• Azaadville
• Rietvallei 2 and 3
• Swaneville
• Kagiso Ext 12 and 13

“Further reminders will be communicated closer to the shutdown period. Water Services apologises in advance for the inconvenience and thanks residents for understanding,” she concluded.
