Pipeline failure triggers water outage in Breaunanda

Residents in Breaunanda can expect a prolonged water interruption today as emergency pipeline repairs get underway.

Mogale City Local Municipality’s (MCLM) Water Services is carrying out urgent repairs on a water pipeline today, January 21.

According to MCLM’s assistant manager for media and PR, Refilwe Mahlangu, the water supply in Breaunanda will be temporarily interrupted for about 10 hours while repair work is underway.

“For effective communication and coordination, residents are encouraged to contact their ward councillors should water tankers be required. Ward councillors will then relay these requests to the Water Services team, who will coordinate the deployment of tankers to affected areas where necessary,” she said.
