New DA Federal Leader visits Krugersdorp

Geordin Hill-Lewis met commuters, traders and taxi operators as part of a hands-on engagement drive across Mogale City.

New DA federal leader Geordin Hill-Lewis visited Krugersdorp today, April 14.

According to Charity McCord, media manager to Hill-Lewis, he engaged with commuters, taxi operators, and vendors in Krugersdorp on key issues affecting them, including service delivery, economic opportunities, and public transport challenges.

Alderman Tyrone Gray added that Hill-Lewis visited several areas in Mogale City, including the Krugersdorp Taxi Rank, President Square in the CBD and Plot 80 in Muldersdrift.

He said Hill-Lewis engaged with residents while ‘hitting the ground working’.

Gray explained that the engagement focused on the upcoming elections and efforts to improve how the municipality functions.

He concluded the engagement took place through door-to-door and face-to-face interactions, noting that it was only Hill-Lewis’s second day in office and the third municipality whose residents he had engaged with.
