Pensioners can apply for 2026 rates relief
Qualifying residents have until September 30 to submit applications for the municipality’s 45% property rates rebate.
Residential property owners who are pensioners, or individuals certified as physically or mentally disabled, are invited to apply for the 2026/ 27 Pensioners’ Rebate.
According to Mogale City senior communications practitioner Tendani Shavani, successful applicants will qualify for a 45% rebate on property rates, in addition to the standard residential property rebates available to all qualifying property owners.

Application forms are available at the following municipal offices:
• Krugersdorp Civic Centre office
• Kagiso Mall office
• Kagiso Main office (next to SASSA)
• Azaadville office,
• Lusaka office,
• Rietvallei Ext 2 and 3 office
• Magaliesburg office
The closing date for applications is September 30.
Pensioners who previously received the rebate are also required to reapply for consideration in the new financial year. Residents can view the qualifying criteria on the municipality’s website at the following link: https://mogalecity.gov.za/mogale-city/social-support/
