Krugersdorp suburbs without electricity for more than a day

Municipal teams are working to restore power in affected areas.

Several suburbs in Krugersdorp have been without electricity for more than 24 hours following a widespread power outage.

According to councillor Lourens Gouws, areas including Noordheuwel, and parts of Kenmare and Monument, have been without power since about 04:00 on Friday, June 5.

“We currently do not have an estimate when power will be restored, however, municipal teams have been dispatched to resolve the issue,” he said.
