Mogale residents, expect new tariffs on your bills

Mogale City residents will see the new tariffs applied to consumption from July 1, while June usage will remain billed at the previous rates.

Mogale City Local Municipality (MCLM) has announced that it is implementing the newly approved tariffs for the 2026/ 27 financial year.

MCLM assistant manager for Media and Public Relations, Refilwe Mahlangu, said on August 14 that residents’ meter-reading cycles may span June and July this year.

She explained that consumption recorded up to June 30 will be billed according to the applicable 2025/ 26 tariffs, while consumption from July 1 will be billed using the new tariffs for the 2026/ 27 financial year.

“This makes sure that residents’ usage is billed according to the tariffs which apply to the period in which it was used,” she concluded.
