Clear your traffic fines: Mogale City brings prosecutors to Kagiso

Motorists can meet municipal prosecutors and clear outstanding penalties without facing arrest at an upcoming community day.

Kagiso residents with queries for Mogale City Local Municipality’s Public Safety division will be assisted during a Public Safety Awareness Day this weekend.

The event takes place on September 5 between 08:00 and 14:00 at Kagiso Mall. Refilwe Mahlangu, the municipal assistant manager for media and PR, said the goal was to bring services to residents and assist motorists on numerous topics.

These include:

• Information about the Administrative Adjudication of Road Traffic Offences Act
• Checking and querying fines
• Access to municipal prosecutors
• Opportunity to settle outstanding fines without arrest, even past the due date
• Promotion of safer vehicles and roads
• Promotion of responsible behaviour

“Do not get caught off guard with unpaid fines, but rather make use of this opportunity to clear your record,” Mahlangu concluded.
