Mogale residents urged to update municipality's banking details

A municipal banking switch requires rate payers to update account payment references immediately.

Mogale City Local Municipality has urged Krugersdorp residents to update their banking records following a change in municipal account details.

The municipality moved its banking services to Absa, and assistant manager for media and PR Refilwe Mahlangu advised residents to make rate payments to the new account.

“You should use your municipal account number as the payment reference to make sure that your payment has been correctly allocated,” she said.
