Two stolen vehicles recovered in Kagiso, one man arrested
A tip-off led police to a residence in Kagiso where two stolen vehicles were recovered – one vehicle was stolen from Honeydew. A man was also arrested.
Kagiso Police’s acting Station Commander Colonel Peter Mabuso has said they will not allow criminals to turn their area into their playground. A sentiment they proved recently when they arrested one suspect and recovered two stolen vehicles.

A statement from Kagiso Police Spokesperson Captain Solomon Sibiya reads that a 29-year-old man was cornered and apprehended in Extension 8 of Kagiso. He said crime prevention members were informed of a white Toyota Hilux that was stolen in Honeydew and was then spotted at a place of residence in Kagiso extension 8.
Captain Sibiya added that when police followed up on the information provided they found a white Haval parked next to the stolen white Hilux.
“During a preliminary investigation, police discovered that the registration of the Haval was false.”
They also noticed three suspects inside the Hilux busy with the dashboard. When they saw police approaching, they jumped out of the stolen vehicle and fled the scene.
“Police managed to apprehended one suspect and recovered two vehicles.”
Captain Sibiya said that a manhunt is underway for the two other suspects.
“We are urging anyone with information that can lead to the successful arrest of these two suspects to please contact us.”
