Two attempted break-ins in Noordheuwel, Delporton

There has been a recent spike in attempted break-ins as well as armed robberies in the Krugersdorp area.

This is according to Mapogo A Mathamaga Security Company’s latest incident report for the period from November 1 to 5.

Operations Manager Ben Willemse revealed the full report as follows:

• Tuesday, 01 November 2022, 11:36 – Attempted break-in in Louis Trichardt Street, Noordheuwel:
Perpetrator lifted the gate from its rails when the owner’s son noticed the incident and made alarm and the perpetrators fled the scene in a silver VW Polo vehicle.

• Wednesday, 02 November 2022, 07:58 – Armed robbery in President Street, Krugersdorp Central:
Two armed perpetrator entered a business and held the owner up at gunpoint and robbed him of cash and fled the scene.

• Wednesday, 02 November 2022, 13:12 – Robbery and an arrest in Kruger Street, Krugersdorp Central: Perpetrator robbed an elderly man of his wallet and attempted to flee but was arrested by members of the community who witnessed the incident.

• Saturday, 05 October 2022, 03:27 – Attempted break-in in Carter Street, Delporton:
Perpetrator damaged the premises’ roller door in an attempt to gain entry into the premises and when the alarm activated they fled the scene.
