Attempted break-ins and theft dominate Mapogo’s latest crime report
Theft and home break-ins were looming over the Krugersdorp area according to Mapogo A Mathamaga Security.
Mapogo A Mathamaga Security revealed that seven serious crime incidents were reported for their client base in the Krugersdorp area from November 14 to November 20.

Offenders attempted to break in at a home on De Wet Street in Krugersdorp North on Friday, November 11 at 21:02 by cutting the electric fence to gain access to the premises and proceeded to force the sliding door open and when the alarm activated the offenders fled the scene.
Another attempted break-in incident occurred on Saturday, November 12 at 04:43, on Cecil Street in Rant-en-Dal where the perpetrators gained access to the premises, broke a window and attempted to force the burglar bars to open. When the domestic, who was in the home, pressed the alarm, the perpetrators fled the scene.
In Level Street at Wentworthpark, on Sunday, November 13 at 05:13, while a homeowner was sleeping, perpetrators successfully gained access to the home, where they stole money and small items from a handbag in the home and fled the scene without the owner waking up.
On Monday, November 14 at 04:20, a perpetrator attempted to break in at a business premises on Van Breda Street in Krugersdorp CBD by climbing over the gate to gain access onto the premises. Upon opening the premises the suspect attempted to flee and climbed onto the roof to escape any possible arrest.
The following day on Tuesday, November 15 at 05:28, on Anthony Road in Chancliff. Two car tyres were stolen from a stationary vehicle that was inside the premises after perpetrators gained access to the premises and fled with the stolen goods.
In Andre Street, Marabeth in Tarlton on Wednesday, November 16 at 09:18, a motor gate was stolen when offenders gained entry onto the premises during the evening and stole the gate motor and fled the scene. The owner only discovered that the item was stolen in the morning.
Pipes and taps were stolen from a bathroom in Buiten Street in Krugersdorp North. This incident occurred on Thursday, November 17 at 06:30 where the offenders entered the premises and fled with the stolen items.
