The victim’s mother told the police that someone had approached her on December 24, 2022 and was looking for her son. He told the woman that her son and some of his friends had allegedly broken into his house and had stolen a laptop and TV.
Then on January 1 she received information that the three suspects had been seen forcing her son into the boot of their car on December 26.
“The Kagiso police launched an investigation and started searching for the suspects who were driving a Toyota Venture,” Sibiya said.
He added that by working closely with community structures they were able to track one of the suspects and arrested him. The other two were then arrested on January 3.

It is a punishable crime and a gross violation of human rights. Anyone involved will be punishable accordingly,” warned the acting station commander of the station, Colonel Peter Mabuso.
