New taxi rank in operation as of Wednesday
Believe it or not, the Krugersdorp CBD taxi rank will start operating from Wednesday, February 1.
It is official, from February 1, 2023 the new Krugersdorp CBD taxi rank will be operational.

A statement from the Mogale City Local Municipality’s Economic Development Services said, “Following months of construction and unforeseen delays, MCLM is pleased to inform members of the media, the public, commuters, taxi operators as well as businesses operating in the Central Business District (CBD) that the newly constructed Krugersdorp Taxi Rank is finally ready for public use.”
MCLM in partnership with local taxi associations will embark on a relocation process on Wednesday, February 1. This means that all taxis, commuters and other taxi related activities will move from the temporary rank which was set up in Von Brandis Street to the newly constructed facility on the corner of Fountain and Pretoria Streets in the CBD.

“The temporary facility will cease to operate on the day of relocation.”

• Honeydew,
• Key West,
• Silverstar,
• Kromdraai,
• Lion Park,
• Swaneville,
• Central Kagiso,
• Cradlestone,
• Lewisham,
• Tshepisong,
• Brits,
• Hekpoort,
• Mayibuye,
• Heuningklip
• Muldersdrift.
