R4 600 worth of fines issued in Kagiso roadblock

Kagiso Police and Mogale City traffic police issued six traffic fines to the value of R4 600 during roadblock held on the R41 and M13.

Like their Magaliesburg and Hekpoort counterparts, the Kagiso Police also recently held a roadblock to prevent crime.

Kagiso Police spokesperson Captain Solomon Sibiya explained their crime prevention unit together with Mogale City’s traffic police held the roadblock on the corner of the R41 and M13 between 10:00 and 13:00 on Friday, February 3.

The stop and searches were led by Captain Theron who is the operational commander and Colonel Mabuso who was the overall commander.

The purpose of the intensified operation was to prevent the transportation of stolen goods from and into the area, suspected stolen or hijacked vehicles, illegal firearms, and check for road traffic compliance.”

During the operation, they issued six traffic fines to the value of R4 600. A CSC mobile truck was also used for visibility.
