SAWS issues yellow level 2 warning for Gauteng

Similar stormy conditions which include localised flooding and damage to settlements and property are expected in Gauteng.

The South African Weather Service (SAWS) has issued a yellow level 2 warning for severe thunderstorms resulting in localised flooding and damage to settlements and property is expected over the Free State, Eastern Cape and northern parts of the Northern Cape and the North West, excluding the north-eastern parts.

They added that similar stormy conditions are also expected over Gauteng, Southern and Eastern Limpopo, Highveld, and the escarpment of Mpumalanga as well as western and southern parts of Kwazulu-Natal, including central parts of the Eastern Cape.
