Glow 4 Jesus Church reaches out to vulnerable community

The team from Glow 4 Jesus Non-Judgmental Church visited the community of Applepark during a fun and eventful day of worship and giving.

The residents of Applepark and members of the Glow for Jesus Non-Judgemental Church gave their time on a very chilly Saturday afternoon to join hands for what would be a wonderful community outreach of feeding and giving.

Clothing was donated to the most vulnerable people in the community. They also prayed for those in need at the Applepark Play Park in Burgershoop.

The church was launched in March 2022 in the heart of Burgershoop where people who come from all walks of life can join. The church is still the new kid on the block, however, it continues to make a huge impact on the community and leaves a mark on all the people they help. From feeding schemes, donation of clothing, and giving guidance to troubled youth, the outreach programme held on June 16 was just part of a bigger project of what the church mainly engages in.

Pastor Sweis Haremse, the leader of the church, was proud of the turnout and how the church was able to do good for the community.

“We love to put smiles on the faces of the kids and community, all in the name of God,” Sweis said.

Community members were blessed with a sermon from pastor Sweis and a prayer to conclude a wonderful afternoon with happy residents.

The church hopes to continue to help vulnerable community members and hopes that residents will assist them in their projects. For more information on how you can help, whether by donating or giving your time, contact pastor Sweis on 061 317 4698 or Heleen-Marie Treptow on 074 503 7148.
