Taps in Krugersdorp North run dry

Residents in Krugersdorp North who are currently experiencing low water pressure or none at all are urged to be patient as repairs continue.

Mogale City Local Municipality (MCLM) appeals to residents in Krugersdorp North and the CBD to be patient as taps have either run dry or have low water pressure.

Ward 20 councillor Mark Trump confirmed on Friday morning, July 14, that the water network Eikenhof supplies is a large area of Johannesburg and the West Rand.

He said the system will need to build pressure first, and ultimately replenish reservoirs, but this will take time, so residents will have to be patient.

“We got good news yesterday (Thursday, July 13) with 50% of water volume flowing from 19:00 and all upgrades should’ve been completed this morning (July 14),” Mark added.
