Parts of Mogale still dry due to water shutdown

Mogale City Local Municipality would like to update residents regarding the water levels in the city.

Mogale City Local Municipality would like to inform residents that they are partially starting to receive water.

The following areas are:

1. Kagiso\ Rietvallei
2. Krugersdorp CBD
3. Munsieville
4. Dan Pienaarville
5. Western parts of Krugersdorp

Reservoir levels remain low due to the high demand for water as it is immediately dispensed when consumed, the municipality would like to inform residents that provision water tankers will be available in the following areas:

• Munsieville
• Dan Pienaarville reservoir
• Rant-en-Dal Spar

Tankers will be available in the following rural settlements:

• Muldersdrift
• Herkpoort
• Kromdraai
• Tarlton

The water draw-off point is at Oaktree and Muldersdrift. The municipality urges residents who have water to use it sparingly as reservoir levels need to drastically rise to the required levels for the water supply to be restored.
