School in Kagiso gets a facelift for Mandela Day

A school in Kagiso was renovated by the Adopt-a-School Foundation and various stakeholders.

Tsakani Primary School in Kagiso spectacularly commemorated Mandela Day when they invited the Adopt-a-School Foundation to celebrate what would have been the great Nelson Mandela’s 105th birthday this year.

The foundation, a partner entity of the Cyril Ramaphosa Foundation, through its Whole School Development (WSD) programme, was on the premise of Tsakani to begin renovating the school as a commemoration for Mandela Day.

From humble beginnings, the foundation has grown exponentially. With hundreds of schools spanning the entire country, we can make a sustainable difference in the lives of hundreds of thousands of learners, their families, and their communities,” Dr Motsepe said.
