Stationery donated to Paardekraal Primary

A local business set their charity eyes on Laerskool Paardekraal Primary recently and donated stationery.

Giving back to the less fortunate is ingrained in the ethos of the Goscor team. They proved this by donating stationery to Laerskool Paardekraal Primary recently.

The company’s financial adviser, Nadia Kuun, explained that the donations came from a Mandela Day project that they held.

“We run a project like this annually and this year we decided that we wanted to reach out to the kids. Stationery is something every child needs, but it is also, many times, the last thing that suffering parents can afford,” she said.

The team all contributed by either donating stationery or money towards the project. On August 18 the team visited the school to hand over the stationery to the principal, Hennie Bester, the head girl Linontha Mankaya, head boy, Dinanga Kalala, and vice principal, Lynette van der Merwe.

“We go beyond and we care about our community, family is very important to us and our team feels like a family that works together.”

Nadia said they do outreaches like these two to three times a year and also pack sandwiches which are picked up by the local Community Policing Forum and then handed to the homeless every week.
