Load-shedding affecting water supply in Mogale City

Rand Water confirms the Eikenhof pump station is affected by rolling blackouts.

The water supply in town has been affected due to extended load-shedding schedules, the municipality confirmed.

According to a statement issued by Mogale City Local Municipality, residents are hereby urgently informed of the affected areas of this water supply interruption. Water supply to Kenmare, Dan Pienaarville and Munsieville water storage reservoirs have dropped at an alarming rate.

The measured levels are currently as follows:

• Kenmare Flat Reservoir Level is at 5m
• Kemp Water Tower – 0m, no water
• Dan Pienaarville Reservoir – 4m
• Munsieville Reservoir – 0m, empty

The municipality confirms the areas affected by the reservoir levels drop are Kenmare, Silverfields, Breaunanda, Lewisham, Noordheuwel, Dan Pienaarville, Munsieville, the CBD, Krugersdorp West and other closely located areas.

Mogale City is in constant communication with bulk water suppliers to establish when the problem should be resolved and will continue to update the community on progress.

The municipality apologises in advance for currently and to the affected areas for any inconvenience this water interruption will cause.
