Grab a black bag and start your chainsaw to help clean up cemetery

Similar to the words of famous astronaut Neil Armstrong, it will be one small step for man, one giant leap for … our town. You can make a difference at Sterkfontein Cemetery by attending a clean-up at the premises on February 10.

Small steps can be taken to improve the community and the livelihoods of all who live in it.

Hoping to bring some positive change and take a giant leap towards making a difference are several stakeholders including the CPF, AfriForum members along with community organisations such as Friends of Emergency Services who will embark on a major community clean-up at Sterkfontein Cemetery on February 10.

The clean-up will begin at 06:00 and everyone is invited.

Residents who would like to partake in the clean-up are encouraged to bring weed cutters, chainsaws, lawnmowers and refuse bags. Residents who like to contribute but can not make it to the clean-up can contact Debbie Victor on 084 800 4342.
