The News welcomes intern journalist Neliswa

The Krugersdorp News is excited to welcome intern journalist Neliswa Sibiya.

Hi Krugersdorp! My name is Neliswa Sibiya and I believe my love for storytelling, keen eye for detail and always keeping up with current news gives me that edge in the journalism field.

I see myself as the voice for the voiceless and I believe everyone’s story deserves to be heard. I am currently an intern journalist at the Krugersdorp News and I can firmly assure my community they are in good hands.

I was born and raised in Soweto, Jabulani. During my primary school years, I attended Emathafeni Primary School and later went to Bhukulani Senior Secondary School where I matriculated. I am currently studying towards a Diploma in Journalism at the Tshwane University of Technology.

Growing up, my grandmother used to have a radio and would always have it on so we could listen to the news. I think that is where my love for journalism came from. In my spare time, I enjoy watching documentaries, taking photographs, reading books as well as newspapers and spending time with my loved ones. I am a dedicated student who is committed to unearthing stories in and around my community that may otherwise go unnoticed, in a truthful and unbiased manner.

Get in touch with me via email at neliswa@caxton.co.za and let’s get talking, Krugersdorp!

At Caxton, we employ humans to generate daily fresh news, not AI intervention. Happy reading!
