Late-night crash leaves five injured

Five people including a child were injured after a two-vehicle collision on Paardekraal Drive on Friday night, April 5.

According to Mogale City’s Emergency Services regional station commander Gerhard Nieuwoudt, the crash occurred before midnight.

“The woman and child who were travelling in the light motor vehicle sustained serious injuries. The three other people travelling in a Jeep, two men and a woman, sustained light to moderate injuries.”

David Medupe said he was one of the first residents on scene to contact emergency services. Another resident to arrive at the wreckage was Petrus Visser who stated there were many car parts scattered across the road.

Paardekraal remained closed for some time to clear the debris.
