Cansa and Silverstar joins forces
The Cansa Roodepoort Satellite Care Centre provides a range of comprehensive and compassionate services to cancer sufferers and their families within the local community.
Silverstar Casino managed to raise a whopping R90 000 for Cansa’s Roodepoort Satellite Care Centre during their second annual Power of Pink gaming promotion held on November 17.
The donation consisted of a R50 000 from Silverstar, and R40 000 raised through the promotion in which players could take part in a draw. Each ticket sold for the draw would contribute a further R10 to Cansa.

By having employees and volunteers work from home, Cansa saves on operational costs while offering comprehensive care and support to individuals and families. Their holistic approach ensures that those diagnosed with cancer and their loved ones receive the necessary care from diagnosis through all phases of need.
According to the national sustainability manager for Cansa, Anita Snyders, this donation will enable Cansa staff on the ground to do even more good work within their communities.
